Lesson 1: Identity & Vision

You can’t build wealth without knowing who you’re building for.

Money without a purpose flies right out of your pocket.

Before we talk numbers, let’s talk purpose. This video is your first step toward owning your story and building your legacy. Listen closely.

Now take 5–10 minutes to fill out the Vision Worksheet linked below. This is where your transformation begins. Be honest. Be bold. This is for your future self — and your family.

Introduction

Welcome to Lesson 1 of the Financial Legacy Method. Before we talk numbers, budgets, or investments, we need to get to the core of your financial journey — your identity and your vision.

If you don’t know why you want to build wealth, every strategy will feel like a struggle. But when you’re clear on your values and goals, your money starts to serve you.

Step 1: Reflect on Your Financial Identity

Ask yourself:

Who do I want to be financially?

What kind of provider, partner, or parent am I working to become?

What beliefs about money have helped me — and what beliefs have held me back?

Take 5–10 minutes to sit with these questions. Write them down. Be honest. This is your foundation.

Step 2: Define Your Legacy Vision

This is the anchor for every financial decision you’ll make.

Complete these prompts in the Vision Worksheet:

“In 10 years, I want to…”

“The legacy I want to leave is…”

“Money gives me the freedom to…”

Use vivid language. This is your blueprint.

Timothy’s Tip

“Don’t overthink this. You’re not carving it in stone — you’re building a compass. The more personal it feels, the more powerful it becomes.”
